What is Kinesiology?
What is Kinesiology?
Kinesiology is a non-invasive complimentary therapy which involves a system of health care combining western and ancient eastern healing modalities. The Kinesiologist is able to observe physiological responses to mental, emotional, biochemical and physical conditions that may be causing an imbalance in the body, using a technique known as muscle monitoring.
By gently applying pressure to any muscle, the Kinesiologist can gain accurate feedback about any functional level of the body by asking specific questions and therefore locate the underlying stress or blockage. We are all unique beings, and each kinesiology balance aims to specifically target each individuals needs based on their healing goals.
Kinesiology helps bring a conscious awareness on how we interpret our world, how we relate to the past, the present and the future, to enable us to take charge of our lives and create a new way of living and being. It is a completely natural and holistic modality - does not diagnose or prescribe medications.

How can kinesiology help you?
The basis of kinesiology is to work on improving health and well being through the encouragement of your capacity to change and release stress patterns. Stress alters the electrical impulses throughout the body which can trigger the fight/flight response causing messages to the brain to become scrambled.
As the energy flow slows down it can become stuck which then affects overall brain function, blood flow, digestion and will eventually lead to illness and disease.
In Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) it is believed that Qi (energy) is the building block of everything in the universe and life depends on it. Our body is made up of energy and electricity and our emotions are an expression of Qi which is an internal reaction to the outside world.
When Qi moves smoothly our bodies are balanced and healthy which nourishes our internal organs, muscles, sinews and bones.
